It’s finally happened… The comeback I’ve been waiting on for two decades…
The eighties are back in full swing! That’s right… the makeup, the hair, the style… I am so excited I can barely sleep at night!
You see, I am a full-fledged child of the eighties. Queen, Journey, Bon Jovi, Madonna and all of the 80’s legends top my iPod playlist. I can’t watch children’s television with Speedy without longing for the no longer made for children classics I grew up on. And I still get excited over Lite-Brites and Slinkies.
But, most of all, I’ve always wanted a second chance to live through the fashion trends that came from this amazing decade. I was a kid, so it was all sideways ponytails and biker shorts under short skirts. I missed out on all of the fun stuff… the makeup… the hair… the wild clothes!
My blog is in the midst of a major redesign, so as soon I get the new site launched this week I will have a regular inspiration from the 80s section (haven’t completely decided on the name yet). I’m going to bring you all the great things that came out of the eighties, the modern twist on the fashion and whatever else I can stumble upon online that takes me back in time to the best era yet.

A most interesting makeup look. I was in college in the 80’s but I never had the guts to wear makeup like that! It IS pretty interesting to see all the 80’s fashions coming back, though. I keep telling my daughter high-waisted pants are next. She always groans and says “I’ll NEVER wear them!” Yeah, sure. We’ll see…
